The museum realizes cultural, scientific, educational activities. Great attention is paid to different concerts, presentations, lectures and traditional events, such as "Musical evening of Romance", "Inauguration of young spendiarians", "A day in Spendiaryan's memorial museum" and others. This gatherings aim to build up children's taste and relate them to the Museum.

“The night of museums”

“The cultural dialog between generations”

At 2005 The Council of French museum’s directors has organized a “Nights of museums”   yearly measure, which aim is to unite all European museums around one event, with creative attitude. It brings opportunity to the wide range of society to visit museums and see their collections.
Today 2500 museums from all over the world are joined to this program.

In May 15, in Al. Spendiaryan’s house-museum took a place a “Night of museums”, which was called a “Dialog between generations”. The evening was rich and colorful, and according to the tradition of “Night of museums”, it lasted from 18:00 late into the night.
The meetings with famous artist Valmar and his daughter-artist and designer Hripsime Margaryan, composer Aram Satyan and conductor Karen Durgaryan, well-known actors Narek Duryan and Narine Grigoryan have passed in a warm and spontaneous atmosphere.

     
             
     
The halls were full of various strata of auditory, especially from students. The students from Yerevan State University, Medicine University, V.Brusov’s University, Art academy, Yerevan State conservatory, Theatre University, Gladzor University had an active dialog with these artists. They received the answers for the questions they have interested in, and during the ingenious conversation acquainted themselves with the art of these famous artists. The students from these universities enriched the whole evening with their art performances and gave pleasing memories to the visitors.

     

In the balcony where students from Art Academy, who were expressing their impressions from the evening on the paper and then giving their paintings as a present to the guests, as a memory from the evening in the house-museum. Here was also a student from Theatre University, who was dressed-up as Al. Spendiaryan and gave to the guests the CD’s from Spendiaryan’s works. The evening was full of youth brightness and vividness.

In May 12, in the framework of “One day in Spendiaryan’s house-museum” cultural-educational program, was organized a painting exhibition of children from Nor Norq administration region’s  Music-school after Sargis Aslamazyan, “On the themes of Spendiaryan’s works”. The best students from music department had a concert, in which they introduced Spendiaryan’s and other Armenian composer’s works. The students from dance department had introduced a choreographic scene on the music of Spendiaryan’s “Enzeli”.



   
         
   
         
   
         
   

The school was presented by house-museum’s direction for taking part in program “One day in Spendiaryan’s house-museum”: Three participants were gifted for the best paintings: Klara Simonyan-for “The three palms”, Kristine Nazaryan-“Erevanian etudes”, and Vahan Mesropyan-for “Almast”.

As a tradition, the participants were presented also by young Canadian- Armenian film director Araz Artinyan.

The “One day in Spendiaryan’s house-museum” educational-cultural program is organized by museum with art-schools. The program promotes the dissemination of Spendiaryan’s works, forming a taste between youth for the high art, as well as makes contacts between children and museum.

 
     
             
     

In April 16, in framework of this program was organized a painting and ceramics exhibition of Ajapnyak administration region’s art-school after Avet Gabrielyan’s children, “On the themes of Spendiaryan’s works”. The best students of the art-school’s music department had a concert in which they introduced only Armenian composer’s works.
 
   
 
The direction of house-museum has rewarded three participants: Hayk Dadayan-for the best musical performance, Haykuhi Minasyan-for the best painting, and Zaruhi Hovhannisyan-  for the best and most original ceramic work.

Also all participants were presented by young canadian-armenian film-director Araz Artinyan. The art-schools, who would like to take part in this program, can get in contact with house-museum.

05 of February, 2010. In limited of educational program “Museum in the school” was the presentation of new exhibition devoted to “Three palms”.


Museum worker S. Arsenyan organized a special lesson devoted to Alexander Spendiaryan’s life and activity with pupils of school in Dzoraghbyur. The symphonic picture “Three palms” was presented to them.


Then pupils gave their impressions to the paper. They painted in teams of “Three palms”. The museum workers choused 12 works for exhibition 3 of which were known the best and deserved to the prize.

The memorial museum of Alexsander Spendiaryan organized traditional event “The inauguration of young spendiaryans`” in 31 of October. It has a thirteen year story. The first-class pupils of musical school named after Spendiaryan visited the memorial museum of the great composer at first. After guiding they gave an oath in composer’s memorial room.
They swore to keep above the name of the composer. The three best pupils had the honor to play instruments of the composer. Karina Shahbazyan and Gayane Sahakyan played on the piano, and Emma Khachoyan played on the violin.
At the end of the event pupils of the musical school named Spendiaryan (the winners in international competitions) have congratulated their young friends with their performances.

The memorial museum of Alexsander Spendiaryan has organized an event dedicated to the 138 anniversary of the composer in 2 of November. Groups of The Academic theatre of opera and ballet, the group of the musical school named after the composer, the students of Yerevan part of the Ternopol University and art lovers were presented.
At the grave of the composer they talked about the great composer, talked about the role and importance of his works. The event continued in the memorial museum. There was organizing presentation of museum website /www. spendiaryanmuseum .am /. The direction of the Memorial Museum presented a "Thank You Letter" to Sevan Services Inc. branche in the Republic of Armenia for creation of web site.
The event finished singers of opera and ballet Narine Ananikyan and Asatur Baldjyan with their performances. They sang aria Tatul and Almast from the opera “Almast” and romances.
